This was one of the best pizzas I had while I was in South Africa.
That topping that you see there is biltong.
What is biltong? Biltong is a South Africa's answer to beef jerky.
The difference between American beef jerky and South African biltong is that biltong is cut into strips (thin or thick your choice!), very easy to chew (you dont have to gnaw at it like American beef jerky), and not as salty to the taste (not that I have looked at the nutritional facts of biltong), and its just overall better, to me, than American beef jerky.
By no means does this make me a "jerky connoisseur", I'm simply saying from my point of view.
